Were you planning on selling Mari for profit since she's an LE?
If so, tell your mom that! Let her know what a profit is!! AG is valuable because it can be a money-maker.

I can't imagine an adult being down on that!
Even my dad likes AG because he knows I could sell my stuff and make a nice profit...he relates it to his baseball card collection, it's kinda the same thing to him.
I wouldn't do it, but the point is you COULD. Why is she against that?

Did you not ask permission first?

When I was younger I got in trouble for doing something and my parents told me they would never buy me AG things again. 10 years later they did buy me another doll, but that's all I've gotten. (At the time I had 3 dolls and 5 outfits)
It hasn't limited the size of my collection at all

Enjoy the things you have, and you can save to buy the other things you want.

I gotta ask.

Was this something your Mom bought you and did you ask permission?

If so that might upset me as a Mom....

HI,

I'm sorry you are so upset right now Sounds like your mom is pretty upset too.

I don't know the details here, but speaking as a mom, we can say things we don't mean in the heat of anger. I know I have punished my kid's only to have to go back & say, "O.K., mom was really mad when she said you could NEVER do that again" Yes, my kid's do still get punished, but it is not fair to them (or me) if we stick to something crazy I yelled out when I was angry. All of this is to say, I hope your mom has a chance to cool off & you have a chance to explain/apologize if needed and perhaps the end result will be a bit better.

Hope you are feeling happier soon.

Also chiming in as a mom--sometimes never doesn't really mean never, as tvbrn said.

I also wonder if you sold what she bought for you. If that's the issue, I would repay her the cost of the stuff and save the profit for yourself if that makes sense, or just explain the appreciation of the LE to her.

Yes, I agree with everyone on that if you didn't ask your mom if you could sell Marisol's stuff, especially if your mom bought the things for you, your mom might have a reason to be a little angry. However, I'm sure that she doesn't really mean "never." If I were you, I would talk to your mom and clarify exactly why she is upset. Then explain things to her, and possibly apologize. I plan on selling some of my AG and non-AG stuff, and if I hadn't told my mom first, I'm sure she would be angry!
